MOD 4 Laser Device Description

This MOD 4 Laser is applicable across all modern firearm platforms. The device features a high intensity 450nm Blue Laser, 780nm IR Laser for night vision, and wired pressure pad. The unit is constructed out of 6061 Aluminum, weighs 5.4 Oz, and measures 9 picatinny slots in length. The onboard controls include a 9 position rotational switch to select between High Power IR, Low Power IR, Off, Low Power Visible, High Power Visible, Low Power Visible Flash, High Power Visible Flash, Low Power IR Flash, and High Power IR Flash. The laser activation button can be found on the top of the unit. The unit’s windage and elevation knobs can be found on the right side and top of the unit to zero the laser. 

The device also has 3 buttons [△(+) | ▭ | ▽ (—) ] for controlling the laser’s intensity settings across each of the 8 power modes. The △ (+) and ▽ (—) buttons adjust across 3 levels of intensity at ⅓ rd, ⅔ rds, and ³/₃ power output. This allows the operator to regulate the beam intensity across varying surroundings and environments. To adjust the laser’s power setting the middle ‘Enter’ ▭ Button must be pressed first. Then either the up △ (+) or down ▽ (—) arrow can be selected to adjust the power output. To exit the power adjustment setting either press ‘Enter’ again or do not toggle the power adjustment buttons and they will automatically lock after 8 seconds of inactivity.

The laser can also be operated via the included remote pressure pad. Connecting the pressure pad allows the device to be operated remotely from a wide variety of configurations enabling the operator to tailor the setup to their preferences. When pressing the onboard laser activation button the laser will operate in constant mode. In constant mode the laser will stay on until the operator presses the activation button again. When connected and activated from the pressure pad the laser will operate in momentary mode. Double clicking the pressure pad or remote control unit will toggle the laser into constant mode, keeping the beam on. When the rotational switch is set to a flash mode variant the laser will continuously pulse on and off allowing the operator to designate targets and signal communications with others. 

The picatinny base mount screws allows the unit to be mounted to all weapons with standard rails. The 2.5mm rear port allows the included pressure pad or a control unit to plug in and operate the laser. The laser is powered by 1x standard CR123A battery which can be inserted after unscrewing the rear battery cap. The device has a built-in rubber cap to cover and protect the laser emitters when not in use. When the laser is activated a rear facing LED light will illuminate. When the laser is active the rear facing indicator will illuminate green. This is to alert the operator that the laser, either in visible or infrared mode, is currently on. This model also features a slidable cover to hide the active laser indicator light.
